Basourakos Building Multifuncional Center

The “Bassourakos” historic building in Skala Lakonias, currently repurposed as a Multipurpose Cultural Activities Center, represents a project of significant architectural and cultural value, where the restoration and modernization of the building envelope are carefully balanced with respect for the historical identity of the structure as a whole. Within the scope of the building’s upgrade, we implemented the Kingspan standing seam roofing system, forming a contemporary, high-precision metal envelope with excellent performance in terms of weather tightness and durability. The adoption of this system supports the sensitive integration of new construction elements within the existing historic fabric, establishing a balanced dialogue between old and new. Through specialized technical expertise and meticulous execution in a highly sensitive environment, we contributed to the enhancement of a landmark local building, which is given new life as a cultural hub for the region, while preserving its architectural dignity and historical continuity.
