Kingspan – Insulated Metal Panels
Insulated panels — commonly referred to as sandwich panels — are prefabricated building elements consisting of two outer facing skins (typically cold-formed steel or aluminum) bonded to a continuous insulating core. The most widely used core materials are polyurethane (PUR), polyisocyanurate (PIR) and mineral wool (rockwool), each offering different balances of thermal resistance, fire behavior, and mechanical strength. This composite construction is extensively employed in industrial and commercial buildings — warehouses, cold storage facilities, food processing plants, clean rooms, and curtain-wall façades — as well as in modular and prefabricated construction where speed of assembly is critical.
Kingspan Insulated Panels (KIP) is a global leader in the design, development and delivery of advanced building envelope products and solutions. At Kingspan Insulated Panels, we are pioneering better technologies and methods of building for a low carbon world. Improving building performance, construction methods and ultimately people’s lives – that is what drives our people across the world.
